Hey guys, I'm almost done doing my head swap. Well I was putting on my roller rockers and adjusting them. I was rotating the motor by hand using the balancer in the clockwise direction. I just got done adjusting the driver's side roller rockers. I moved to the passenger side, before I could even adjust the first set of roller rockets, while I was rotating the motor I heard this pinging noise. I felt the vibration in my hand, since I was holding the ratchet on the balancer.

So I just stopped so I don't to any damage if it's a bad thing. Did I just mess something up? What's the noise I'm hearing?

This is on a '94 LT1.

well if its only doing it after you adjusted the drivers side loosen all those up turn it over and see what you have, maybe you had a lifter that was bled completely down and started to get pressure after turning it over so much and now a rockers to tight???

Sounds possible, but what's making the noise? The noise that it made does sound like a spring releasing it's pressure and hitting something, but I'm not sure.
