Amazing group of guys and great job with the car. I wonder how many WTF's you get at the track when the hoods open and they just got to see it 60 ft like that when they find out its a stock internal LT

What are you looking to get out of those ratty old worn out drag brakes, as if I had the money to buy them. LOL!
If you can't afford aftermarket brakes before the shootout there is a little ET to be gained with stock and junkyard parts. I will be doing a little of that with our project too. It will be a budjet build for sure!

Here are some things to consider with factory stuff.
1. If you calipers are in good shape they will release faster.
2. If your rotors are smooth you will have less rolling resistance.
3. If your rotors are turned down they weigh less.
4. Some aftermarket rotors may be lighter (Advance, etc. you would have to weigh them to see for sure).
5. For drag racing switching to aluminum drums in the rear (Grand National, etc.) is a cheap alternative to aftermarket discs.
Mike, you have pushed my car. Rolls pretty free in a straight line don't you think for a 3200 lb car.
