Hey guys my car sat for 2 or 3 months while it was getting a cam swap. Well the cam is all done and the mail order tune is in. Its a 306 cam and I started her last night without the tune and she ran great til I ran my hand over the maf (I started it without the Cold air intake on) and then a loud back fire and wouldnt start back up.

Foudn out the starter was split, got me a new starter, and she fired up then died right away.

She'll start now, but its kinda scratchy when tis turnin over, I figured it was the starter, then as soon as it starts it immediately dies. If you give it a bunch of gas you can delay it a little.

Any ideas? Or things I should start with first?

unplug the MAF then try to start it and see if it runs, did something get into the MAF?

So A buddy came over and I tried to start it and it fired up and I kept it runnign for a few seconds and he freaked out cause a big flame shot out of the intake track. I was running open maf without the K&N on.

You think it could be the maf, Im sure tis fucked now?
Maybe I have the rockers to tight and its keeping an intake valve open?
But then why would it have ran with the stock tune?

ALso I unplugged the maf and tried and its no better. It still dies but I just let it fire then didnt give it any gas so it died right away. Do I need to try and keep it runnign with the maf unplugged and see if ti clears up?

Also dont forget there was a bad backfire on the stock tune when I ran my hand over the maf
