Opinion on mail order tunes?

Opinion on mail order tunes?
I'm thinking of getting either the trifectaperformance.com tune or the one from pcmforless.com.
Anyone have a favorite among the two? Any reason to avoid one or the other?
Thanks in advance.

mail order tuning is very dependant on your thoroughness on the form and the tuner's skill. Just because something is popular does not mean it is good, or even if someone is good that does not mean they put forth the effort to get any more than a few high profile cars tuned well.
I have used pcmforless before and will not in the future though after my car got fast he tried to get ahold of me because I guess it was worth his effort then.
I don't know much about Trifecta.
Currently using a Jeff Creech mailorder tune, have played a little with fueling and shift points but zero timing tweaks and it seems to work.
Ed Wright does good work by all accounts.
pcmperformance does good work according to people I trust who have used them, think they like to keep mailorder stuff to common combos unless the customer has the datalogging capability to give them the info dial in more complicated stuff.

+2 on Madtuner, super easy to work with. placed my order on a saturday night had my pcm on wed. picked up a noticeable improvement in driveability. Added the tune at the same time as a set of drag radials and lowered my 1/8 mi et by four tenths

I want to say Trifecta is part of or affiliated with pcmforless someone want to chime in on this? I once had a MadTuner tune on my old bolton car and it was terrible. I had my cars dyno tuned after that however because of time I just got a pcmforless mail order tune done for my heads/cam car. I have heard alot of good from Bryan Herter at pcmforless and he is a very helpful and knowledgeble guy.

i did madz28.... overall i was very satisifed.... just make sure u be very specific with what u want done... for instance i said tune for a SS3600 esp for stall wall... well he did tune the stall wall out but he never tuned out the lockup in 3rd gear at 100mph.... so at the track my converter was locking up on me... i either have to send it back to him or get LT1 edit but thats my fault i should have been more specific....

pcm4less did a good job for me...that being said, make sure that w/ any mail order tune that you take it to a dyno and verify the A/F ratio with a wideband before making WOT runs

I must have been overlooking Madtuner... def need to ask him some questions and see.
I have to say when I contacted PCM's for less they did not really seem to care about talking to me just so I could get comfortable with them... I felt like I was wasting his time from the moment he picked up the phone.
