deleting the a/c does not really add any measurable horsepower.

3DFORMULA Jun 25, 2008 10:32 PM

How about just making the available power, that is in the LT1, work. Check sig. Just a 12 bolt with gears and slicks, CAI, skip shift elim., nonadjustable LCA's, flowing exhaust, and that produced 13.09 @ 106. No added hp at all, just free some up is all I did. AND, there is more available with more gear, suspension, weight reduction, tune. I will add hp when these items are dialed in.

true ...

CamaroRacing12 Jun 25, 2008 10:52 PM

its more like bolt off, lighten ur car up as much as possible :) and get a sticky tire

SPEEDYTRANSAM1996 Jun 25, 2008 11:10 PM

i want to but its kinda hard cause i want to sit in comfort having my a/c on them hot ass days here in chicago. i really dont know what to take off that'll make a big difference. spare tire and jack are gone. maybe i should delete the speakers and leave the front one's in. backseat got to stay cause theres sometimes i like to take the car on the family day with the kids and misses.the car is a street car and hardly ever see's the track

1badzee Jun 25, 2008 11:14 PM

Get some Koni shocks ::thumbs up::

SPEEDYTRANSAM1996 Jun 25, 2008 11:18 PM

lol i know my friend got them they really really nice but when i get the money ill believe me. the kyb arent that bad till u get in a f-body with koni's lol

1badzee Jun 25, 2008 11:21 PM

haha i feel ya.. kyb's are pretty good for a 240sx or something (just messin with ya lol). but yeah invest in some nice koni's, or if its more of a street car, get some Bilstein shocks/springs.. a friend of mine has em (you can get em for like $600 for all four shocks and springs) and it rides so nice! thats my next upgrade once i get the new heads on

SPEEDYTRANSAM1996 Jun 25, 2008 11:33 PM

ya ill be there but im focused on other stuff right now. the kyb with stock springs are pretty damn good. i got the fronts at 1 which is the softest and the rear at 5. the ride is nice but the launch is better. i havent really sat in my friends car at a launch with his sweet ass set up but im sure its probably better. im fine were i stand for right now with the springs and shocks.

1badzee Jun 25, 2008 11:34 PM

true that. it seems as if you're fine with mods as well. sounds like a stout car. good luck with any upgrades bro

SPEEDYTRANSAM1996 Jun 25, 2008 11:36 PM

thanks ........but dont no what 2 do next besides heads. pretty much im saying with 2500.00 and thats got to include labor and dyno $1000.00

1badzee Jun 25, 2008 11:43 PM

you can get a nice AI port job for like 1900/2000 and dyno tuning shouldnt be like $1000.. maybe a few hundred.. and labor, do it yourself =D

dre2013 Jun 25, 2008 11:44 PM

i dont think i saw rockers in your list... get a set of 1.6's, and an EWP..and not sure what trans you have but if you're a4 throw a stall in it too

petechapter50 Jun 25, 2008 11:46 PM

what about porting the intake and a bigger throttle body?

SPEEDYTRANSAM1996 Jun 26, 2008 12:03 AM

1badzee Jun 26, 2008 12:14 AM

SPEEDYTRANSAM1996 Jun 26, 2008 12:29 AM
