Default check this cam out;something different

doing some research and discovered this cam @tpis.com. have not talked to tpis but what are some opinions of this cam with the use of stock head's and full bolt ons; 6speed car w/3.42's?

i was planing on using the smaller tpis cam. i talked to them on the phone for like an hour and i was really impresed. my father used them on a bolt in tpi motor he put in a full size blazer and the thing was awsome. it would smoke lightnings and thats with the plow frame hanging off the front lol

I personally haven't heard any good things about any of the tpis camshafts but have not run any myself.

do not buy that cam. i ran it and was not to happy. the rollers ate the cam lobes with their springs and head setup. they set everything to their desired heights on the springs and seat pressures. so it wasen't an install issue.

Back in my TPI hay days i used the zz9 cam in my 91z,2600 stall,3.23s,24lb inj.,58mm tb,ported upper plenum,slp runners(ported) 12.7@109 on comp TAs
hedders,no cats,pulleys,custom chip etc.

the x-cam was supposed to run alot harder but i cannot confirm by my experience..
