Personally I want one of the 900.00 ones. Frankly because its going to be a setup thats not cut up and redone from what I understood and mainly because 375+250 just for the parts to start = 625.. and then your profit.... I would rather throw on another 100 and do even more *shrugs*

The price on the plastic would have been roughly $975.00. It was also untested and a one size fits all. I cant sell something that is undocumented and then take the chance of being stuck with them. The HSR is easy to work with. Its an already proven intake that can be customized to a lot of different setups and will out flow and out perform that plastic one. Yes, the plastic intake would of looked 'cooler' but I have to worry about performance first.

The HSRs for the C4 L98s we are painting with several different color options and they come out looking pretty good.

As for price, with a purchase of so many at one time, we can get a 10-15 percent discount that will be passed down to the customers. We are selling The vette HSR for $850.00. But a lot of work went into it. The LT1 version doesnt need as much modifying.

If you can fit it in there, and keep those good gains up top, you have a buyer right here.
This is correct, I just went out and measured and took pics (and accidently took a vid too), I will post the pics up when they finish uploadi to my site...

Lots of b-body guys would be up for this. No need to worry about fit there though. If you make it fit the f-body it will fit a b-body.

So, there is nothing obstructing the height of the intake but the hood?

Sun washed this out badly and then the battery died. Camera is charging and I can take some better pics later. Think you get the point though, nowhere near the concerns of the f-body. I can take some seperate pics of the "home plate" if you like to show how much room it takes up on top of the manifold.

This is my almost completely stock 94 wagon, the black "S" shaped pipe in the lower lest is the biggest modification done. TB bypass is still not done and the exhaust is ORIGINAL as are the 2.56s. Have not had it long, all that will change.

Do you have an actual graph of the two to compare?
I would agree the heads were a problem.
I would also say most cars are way down on lowend compared to what they should have, even with the LT1 intake.

Wow, thats easy enough. We gave the dyno sheet to the guy that owns the vette and he just went on vacation. His peak power I believe was 6000rpm. Now thats with no porting and a little over 5 inch runners. That gives us a good baseline. I think some porting and taking a little off the length off the runners would raise the peak power to 6200-6400. I just dont want to sacrafice too much low and mid range torque. Thats the whole purpose of the intake, power under the curve.

No, those were great. Lets us know what were working with. We have a customer in the shop who also has a lt1 firebird. Its not running, but we'll be able to throw the intake on and make sure it fits.

Another question, is there any difference between the firebird and camaro when it comes to:

The length between the intake and the cowl

The amount of inches the intake is under the cowl

How is the distribution for nitrous (wet shot) on the HSR?

I know the LT1's are not the best in this regard... just curious.

Also, would there be a issue using the HSR with LT4 heads? Seeing how a lot of us are running the LT4 style head, be it stock casting or aftermarket.
