I have been watching this thread to see if anything would come from it so I thought I would add my 2 cents.
GGPC check out one my old threads https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthrea...ghlight=intake
I really like the stealthram intake(buddy has one on his LT1), but I think the Edelbrock Pro-flo could possibly be a better choice for the LTX guys considering how tall the manifold is, its 6inch runners, and the ability to adapt a larger single bore TB. At best we have a monoblade which flows 1350cfm,(don't get me wrong that is a lot of flow) wouldn't mind fitting a 95mm-105mm TB on the Pro-Flo considering you can't ever have enough TB for a fuel injected motor.

Were told It will only support 475hp
Were told It did not flow as well as the HSR
Price $455.00 (not including tb or fuel rails)
An extra amount of porting would have to be done as well $$$.
Out of the box for a stock setup, it would perform up to par just at the mercy of more $$$ . Edel told us it was about 9 1/2 inches tall but from the looks of it, the plenum makes up for a good amount. And since its a one piece unit, you would have to shave the runners down about a half inch. I also didnt like the same old runner design. Its no different then what we have on our lt1 intakes. Holleys runners change shape to increase velocity(something they got from the LSX intakes). I also like the way the runners are positioned in the plenum.
So far, we have been through a lot of existing intakes and the one that makes the most sense, performance/price wise, is this HSR. But hey, we are always open to suggestions and comments. Without them, we wouldnt of gotten this far.

I breezed the thread earlier today and you haven't gotten any pics yet GGPC, correct? I'm quite interested in what it looks like, even the prototype you're not going to go with.

Im a little late gettin to this thread, been kinda busy. I see a pic has already made it but I have a few more of my hsr in my 95.
Heres a complete pic:
Couple different angles showing the amount cut to fit the cowl
With the plastic trim on you can barely tell its been cut. You have to really look for it. On the down side, the portion that has to be cut has the main mount for the wiper arms, so rain x is your friend. I really like the intake, the car makes good power. Plus theres the questions and looks I get when the hood is up.

I must say I think it has been covered. The main purchaser for LT1s now are people who do not want to spend money. The big guys are willing to spend the money to get the improvments. I spent around $1,500 on mine and that does not include man hours or the internaly plumbed N2O kit.
You guy have taken on a huge under taking and the LTx community thanks you for it. Just make sure you have what the people who can afford it want
