car won't start? the car was in the drive way warming up. about 5 minutes after starting the car it shut off. it made no weird noises. all turbo piping is still connected, nothing leaking. as my room mate said, it turns over and sounds good, but it's just not firing. with the key turned i can hear the fuel pump running. what do i need to check? |
Sounds like your ignition module is fried. |
or a opti maybe |
it's a brand new ACdelco / GM opti.... can they die that fast? it's only been a week with the new rebuild |
It's unlikely, but it has happened before. For starters, I would test your coil, opti, and your ICM. Also get a fuel pressure gauge and see where your fuel pressure is at. |

i got the old one checked. it failed once and passed the rest. i got a new one and that wasn't it... i'm thinking the fuel pump isn't working but the fuse isn't blown. hopefully it's not the opti, the dang thing is only a week old! |
might be fuel pump, just because it still runs and u can hear it doesn't mean its about to go. mine had the same issues but sputtered a lot and got new waldpro in and its fine. |
