How to remove the haromonic balancer
How to remove the haromonic balancer So my opti went out and i figured today would be the day to get a start on it befor iwent to work. Well it was going okay until i tried to take the bolt's out of the balanceri sparyed them with oil nothing. I got a breaker bar got me no where how do some of you other guy's do it?
I used a 3 claw puller like pictured to get the balancer off. Like said above I also used an air wrench which made things alot easier. I believe you can rent a puller like that from Autozone if you do not already have one.

One tip for you if for some reason you have to remove the entire balancer assembly....The "hub" portion of the balancer assembly DOES NOT have a keyway to locate it for re-installation. When I took mine off, I was lucky, as over time, the hot engine oil "tatooed" a mark in the crank snout. Be careful if you remove the hub, to make sure that you get it back in the same place, as it's important to do so.
