Putting Pacesetter LT's in? How do u get the O2 sensors off old manifold? Which way should i try to put the LT's in, like from above or under? |
Getting the o2's out...I used ALOT of wd40 on it. and just a wrench......you gotta man up if they're in as good as they were in mine. had someone standing on a cinder block, that was on top of the manifolds and me trying to break it lose with wrench/wd40...good luck with that, not fun haha. But it did end up working. As for the headers. I went from bottom on passenger side and top from driver side. (mid's are what i put it, may be different with lt's..) it will also depend on how high you have it in the air.. the lt's may not be able to fit from going from the bottom due to not enought jack height. |
Gotta jack the car up decently high and those pacesetters will slide right in from the bottom of the car on both sides. |
someones sig pic is way too big...:D |

get that car as high as safely possibly........ and then some. and go in through the bottom. thats how i did mine |
alot of WD or liquid wrench and alot of heat. PS dont breath in the fumes :P |
O2's can be a pain if rusted, I had to torch one to get it to move, theres not a lot of wrench room to work with. i did driver side and pass side thru bottom, had to jack pass side motor mount up to clear the egr tube. |
WD40 or liquid wrench, O2 sensor socket and a breaker bar should do it. If they're on there so bad that you can't get em out, it might not be a bad idea to replace them anyhow. |
ive always found pacesetters to fit better than any other header. they slide in perfect |
i installed my pacesetter like 2 months ago and i had to take the driver side out thru the top and the pass thru the bottom and the when installing them i actually loosened the motor mounts and i put the drivers side thru the bottom and the passenger thru the top this will let you skip some step like taking the alternater off. and on the o2 sensors put them in a vise really tight and then soak them down with wd40 and let it sit for about 30 mins then use a end wrench with the boxed end and about a 3 foot cheater pipe and they will come out with ease no matter how long they been in there!!! GOOD LUCK |
Achieve 4x4 status (similar to mustangs :P ) http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t...P7250002-1.jpg Remove serp. belt, alternator, starter, dipstick tube, steering linkage.. Then giver shit. |
