The Best Header Gasket! Remflex. I had gone through two other gaskets, including felpro and nothing fixed the leak except the remflex! I reccomend anyone who's installing new headers to buy these and put them on! Remflex D ports obviously for our cars. They cost $40. But spending the extra 20 dollars is more than worth it to me! I wish someone had told me about it before. I even searched these forums and nothing came up! |
Yes, Remflex Gaskets are the best gasket I have ever used that lastes... |
Just put a small bead of red RTV around the ports and slap em on. Last longer and seals better than any gasket out there. |
Haven't heard of Remflex but Percys (bought at SummitRacing) did the job for me. Multi-layered aluminum header gasket. I paid around the same for mine so Im betting they're very similar in design. |
I'm gonna be running the percy's as well... |
I run earl's PPM gaskets. Enough said :) |
awesome. Im going to try these!! I cant seem to get my passenger side to seal at all. Each cylinder leaks. |
What are these gaskets made out of? I did not like the aluminum percys I ran 2 years ago. Summit has a LT1 D port copper gasket I am going to try with some red silicone also. |
it says they are 100% graphite. They will compress up to 50% which will fill a gap up to a 1/16th of an inch. |

I have used Felpro 1406s numerous times and have never had a problem. You won't catch me RTVing my headers to the heads though. |

you need to retigthen header bolts is the issue most people have. The gaskets will heat cycle and compress, and loosen bolts. You don't retighten then eventually you'll blow the gaskets. |
Fel 1406 here for many years. Never any leaks. As stated above....get them tight, go through a few heat cycles and re-tighten. Good to go. |
im just gonna get some mr gasket copper ones.. i blew out pacesetter gaskets and stock felpros within like a week each lol |
I'm using felpros too. So far so good. I need to go back and tighten them down soon. I had a set of copper ones but they never seemed to seal good for me. But felpros are the way to go! |
I vote Percy's. |
