Talking A4-M6 swap

This is for all the guys that have already done this. I am obviously about to tackle the swap and know what parts I need that I dont already have, but I am curious to know what problems you guys actually had doing this. I'm not concerned with the wiring because that stuff is my specialty but I am kind of curious to know what problems you guys might have ran into putting in pedals and stuff. Just curious to know before I start the process. Any info would be much appreciated and I will continue to search if you guys haven't already posted somewhere i haven't looked at. Thanks.

The only problem when I swapped was not knowing the Tq arm mount was different and not having the spacer for the slave (or was it master?) cylinder. Other than that, it was pretty straight forward.

Nothing is really a major problem, it's just making sure everything is lined up correctly. That and the Petals are a pain to get in. Other than that it's pretty fun.

The pedals are a huge PITA. I thought the u-bolt for the master cylinder was a PITA as well. I didn't get the master/slave bled correctly the first time, and it really sucked pulling it and putting it back in again.

If you've pulled the tranny before, you are well aware of what a problem at least that one bolt on the drivers side will be.

the pedals are easy guys..lol....seriously just drop your column and pull it all the way out....it makes things sooooo much easier that way...also if you can get ahold of the m6 column then get that too....

No ****..I've never noticed that.

If you get the outer Key-Switch Assembly I bet you can swap it out, they come apart pretty easy.

I am in the middle of this as well. Where did you get the spacer for the slave cylinder? I can't find one or the part number anywhere.

Everything doesn't seem so difficult. The parts are coming slowly but surely. I'm just confused on what flywheel and clutch use. Obviously I have never needed one for an lt1 before. Any suggestions on these items and shifters? I have used a b&m shifter on a friends and thought it was junk.

M6 column? I was unaware of having to swap them. If you are talking about the steering column that is. Mine should work just fine. If not please inform me on what I don't know. I have done a lot of things to lt1 cars but this is my first a4-m6 swap so I'm open for suggestions. I was thinking of getting the pro 5.0 shifter with an slp ****. Some one had mentioned to me about a "Short Stick" instead of using the factory shifter stick, but I don't know anything about that.

You don't have to, it's not important unless you want everything to be "correct"

The guy who I bought the swap from ended up finding it and mailing it to me.

This is what it should look like.

This is what I have. There should be some sort of spacer or block off plate that goes in between the tranny and the slave cylinder. That is what I am looking for. Anyone??
