Default Slippy Clutch Syndrome

So my clutch is slipping. It's rather gay. What do I need to replace to make it not slip?

Stock clutch, slips on full throttle 6th, 5th, 4th, 3rd and sometimes 2nd. I smell burnt clutch everywhere. And I'm a **** shifter.

Help? Thanks.

Also, looking into this so called "LS7 clutch", can I reuse my master/slave whatever's and just replace the disc and flywheel? Seriously folks, I'd like to go bare minimum on this...

It really depends what your power goals are, but I have heard that the ls7 clutch is not the best choice for something over 400rwhp.. If you just have bolt-ons then you will probably be fine with the ls7 though.

My LS7 has yet to even slip once. I only have 2k miles or so on it but I really like it for the price. I paid $350 for the kit but they go for around $430 or so I believe. I think you will like the LS7 clutch.

I just bought the ls7 clutch, with a new master and slave from SDPC. Should be here today. Stock clutch sucks ***, even at stock power. The ls7 should be good up too 400-450 hp...anyone heard of the c6 zo6s having problems with their clutchs?

Bare minimum is the clutch kit and pilot bearing to most people, but if you really want to know, the slave cylinder/throwout bearing assembly is part of the bare minimum in my opinion as well.

A lot of poeple seem to have this opinion on the LS7 only being able to hold 400-450. I think it should do fine for a 500RWHP car atleast for a while 10k or more. Like I said before I havn't even been able to smell clutch yet at a 4.5k launches. Granted I'm only using DR's. It would probably be a different story if I had some real tires.

It also depends on how that horsepower is driven. My stocker has lasted 75k miles, yet some people **** them up at like 30k. You know how to drive, and how to save your clutch, so your 500 hp is fine. Some other people, like maybe myself, could burn that **** up at 450 or 475 lol. It depends on how you drive it really.

Yes, the clutch disc. But why pull the tranny 2 times?

Oh, I didn't know the clutch was in the transmission. Good think I posted this in the noob section.

Do I have to change the clutch fluid when I swap as well?

So... you drive a manual transmission car, but you wouldn't have guessed that the left pedal connected to something between the engine and the transmission? Am I reading this wrong?

It meshes the engine power to the transmissions gear sets, which in turn transmits power through the driveshaft to the rear end (rear axle).

Not to be mean, but if you do not know where the clutch is I would not recommend doing it by yourself, get it done by someone, or if you have great friends, a case a beer goes a long way. Reading on the internet and trying to do it is two different things, some people think they can work on cars just because they read....

As far as the LS7 clutch goes ask Ryne at CMS what he thinks about the LS7 clutch in an Fbody, He was pretty colorful when mine came from a vendor destroyed.
Honestly they have a bad rep but have you looked at a centerforce 12df? Im very impressed with their customer service, and alot of people here with that clutch love it...
Food for thought...

I'd like a stock like clutch, mines a daily driver and my leg usually gets tired from regular use of the stock clutch, I don't want anything more than that. Not worried about power, 450 will probably be my limit, all my car will ever see is H/C/I/E.

Alot of these clutches are very much like factory as far as pedal feel. Im sure you know how handy search is so Id say look around at the Centerforce 12inch DF. DO NOT use the 11inch!
