4th gear grind help!

Default 4th gear grind help!

When i shift from 3rd to 4th it grinds loud and if i am shifting fast from take off i can shift perfectly from 1 2 3 and if 4th grinds bad enough my low traction or no traction light comes on n i have to hit the clutch and try 4th again here is my set up
New LS7 Clutch
New LS7 Pressure Plate
New LS7 Flywheel
Pro 5.0 Shifter
WS6 store Short shifter
MBA Shift ****
01-02 Clutch master cylinder (drill mod)
New Slave cylinder

If the trans is orig. it needs the aluminum 3/4 shift fork changed . There is an iron fork available.

could be the 4th gear is screwed up, or your 3rd 4th slider is screwed up, mine wouldn't downshift into 5th but would upshift fine then it progressed into wanting to spit out 5th gear well had the tranny rebuilt and the edges on the 5th gear were chewed up and the slider was fd up also how many miles on your car?

You need a 3-4 slider and steel shift fork, at least. I am currently running a rebuild spcial for $650. Check out this link for all the detals.

How much is a slider? and the shift fork?

The fork is 50 and slider is 125. The steel fork is included in the $650 rebuild special in the above link
