I've had a McLeod scatter shield for almost 3 years, no issues. What convinced me to make the change was that I saw a car where the clutch exploded, it cut through the headers, floor board, dash and windshield. The OEM bellhousing is < 1/8" thick cast aluminum vs 1/4 " steel plate.

Fitment takes a little time, but not difficult. You have to grind down the back of the oil pan but it's no big deal. Do get a self bleeder when doing the project, makes life alot easier.
