Clutch/Flywheel combo LS7/LS2???

i just bought an 02 SS camaro with the 6spd. 3rd and 4th gear are grinding i think its just syncros i pulled the tranny saterday and am taking it to a shop to have them go through it. i figured while im under it i would but a clutch in it to when i pulled the trans i noticied the flywheel had been gettin a lil warm. ive been hearing about ppl running an LS7 Clutch w/ LS2 Flywheel... is this a good combo and what kind of $$$ we talkin. was just wanting a lill input form somebody who has this done or has hurd of it...

Thanks. Blake R.

If the car is stock then the LS7 setup can't be beat for the price. I've ran it before and was very impressed by it holding what I threw at it. Hit up Byun Speed or Scoggin Dickey(sponsors ---> ) for one of the best deals

first just fyi, the LS7 and LS2 flywheel are the same part. and your looking at a little more than $450 for everything with the clutch.

second the LS7 clutch is amazing and you wont regret it. (assming ur not pushing crazy HP and tracking it all the time)

third, dont forget to order the new pressure plate bolts, pilot bearing, and i HIGHLY (seriously) recommend getting the new slave while your down there. some say doing the master as well is overkill, but i did neway.

fourth, order from SDPC because they're a sponsor, they have never gotten a bad review, and they're cheap as f%&k.

and no i dont work for them, just a very happy customer :D:D

Remember that cleanliness goes a long way when installing a clutch!!!

Another vote for the LS7 clutch.

For stock/bolt on/cam cars, you can't beat it for driveability, durability, and holding capacity.

I also recommend the LS6 or LS7 clutch setups for cars without crazy combos that are driven very often. We have a large selection here:
