LS7 won't bite... McLeod, Ram, Tex?

The LS7 clutch in my car was owned by the motor and tire last weekend.... I heated the tires up and tried to launch the car and the clutch would not bite.

So, I'm now looking at a dual disk.... McLeod, Ram or even Tex...

I have a few commets/questions:

1. I don't mind spending more money for a better product. I'm looking for a clutch that has near stock pedal feel yet will bite when I need it to. I also want to install it only ONCE with no issues at install or 2,000 miles down the road.

2. I'd like to get a decent amount of mileage out of the clutch that I choose. What has been your experience with your clutch life?

3. The car is a street car with track duty only a few times per year. I'd like a clutch that drives great in traffic and cruising around town. What is your experience?

It is my understanding that a dual disk is twice the surface area of a single disk and requires half the line pressure. So, the dual disk will have the most stock-like feel with most bite when needed. Correct?

The only reservation I have about the Tex OZ700 is that it's one expensive single disk.

The McLeod has a great name and I know others that like it.

The Ram has great information on their website and they seem to have the best flywheel and clutch assemblies. I've been looking at their Street Dual.

Please help guys!

That's good to know... although I want to avoid any phone calls to customer service.

yeah, but even the shipping, and way steve handles things, A+. I have had problems getting a hold of, or having anything replied with 3 other companies. If I shoot steve an email, within an hour it was replied. And I have had no problems with his clutch, just some questions before, and 1 after I purchased.

McLeod twin here....put a tick master in with it and it's smooth and drives great. U WILL NOT get stock pedal tho...gonna be a bit heavier. I had a tex. before this and loved that clutch, and it does have a stock feel.

I have the Tick master as well...

What Tex did you have and how long did it last? What other comments do you have about the Tex?

Thanks
