Default Smoked new clutch on 1st pass

Well, I decided to make my first pass with my 408. Before I left home I noticed R was getting tough to get in. But my whole set up is 1k old (500 broken in). I got NEW GM slave and master and Centerforce clutch/flywheel.

Ok, with DRs did a nice burnout and rolled to the line, no RPM drop off the line, I just let it out and mash gas. Well it pulled the nose up real nice and hooked nice, second no issue real nice, Third WTF hit a wall wouldn't go in. I just went into 5th and spun/burned the clutch. Smell and smoke out the back. I couldn't believe it burned in 5th!!

Now R is real hard to get in and grinds and all gears are not easy. Pedal feels hard too.

I've never had this issue with an m6. Is it my slave, master or clutch? Its Fing new all of it! Might be a combo of slave/clutch etc...either way I'll need a new clutch! I got their flywheel/clutch as a kit so does mean I'm stuck with centerforce? I got the dual friction 12" set up. I didn't expect this!!!!!

No, since I bought a complete kit and none of the paper work said anything about shims.

Sounds like it might be a pressure plate problem from the way things sound.

Sound to me that you need to get in there and look at your clutch. I would check your pp bolts. Did you torque to spec?? check springs on pp clutch look for anything broken. Sounds to me like something is loose inside your tranny for the pedal to be hard and the clutch to be slipping.
