Default lt1 t-56 to run with 5.3

What is involved with making my lt1 era tranny fit the ls blocks, i will more than likely go with a 5.3, I have everything from the flywheel back from a 95 SS... thanks in advance. I have searched here and found it the other way around ls to lt.

stick a 6.0 crank in it. the 5.3/5.7/some of the 4.8 cranks are shorter than the old SBC crank, but the 6.0 LQ4 cranks are the same length.

You might check this I thought that was only some of the early ones. I am not sure on this though.
