Pedal isn't right after manual pedal install.
I installed my manual pedals and clutch master cylinder today in anticipation of my upcoming 6 speed swap. I got the pedals out of a 1997 v6 camaro. The master is out of a 2001 Trans Am. I drilled the holes pretty close to right. They might be off just a LITTLE bit. But they are pretty close. The problem is the clutch pedal is not even close to even with the brake pedal. I thought it would sit a little higher than the brake pedal but its a good inch or two below the brake pedal. What did I do wrong? I'm putting all this stuff in a 98 z. Thanks.

I think everyone is getting confused. Yes I installed the master cylinder. Had to drill the holes for it. I think we got them pretty damn close but maybe off by just a little. The problem is its like the rod on the master cylinder is too short. In order to hook it to the pedal, I have to depress the pedal halfway through its travel before it gets close enough to hook. You can pull up on the clutch pedal and it WILL NOT GO ANY FURTHER TOWARDS THE STEERING COLUMN. Again, its like the rod is too short. Thinking about just getting an adjustable one and saying the hell with it. But I'd like to know if I did something wrong. Are the pedal assy. themselves adjustable? Could I have installed them wrong? Thanks again.

Well, I think I found my answer. I got the pedals out of a 97 v6 car. So that would mean lt1 style pedals. I thought they were all the same. But I searched and found someone with the exact same problem that swapped to the ls1 style pedals and it fixed the problem. I had no idea the pedal assy were different. Oh well. You live, you learn. Anyone need some lt1 pedals?!
