Default Total price of your T56 swap. Post!

Post up how much it cost you from start to finish on your T56 swap. Also include prices on the things you sold afterward (tranny, TC, etc.). I will be doing this swap hopefully this winter if I have the funds. A4s are no fun!!!

I'm in the process right now. So far, I've bought a crossmember, lower shift boot, shifter plate, pedals that were wrong, torque arm bracket, poly torque arm bushing, poly trans mount, and thats about it. I'm getting the rest from someone as a package. He's selling me an 0z700 clutch kit, tick master cylinder, bellhousing, rebuilt t56 built to handle 700 hp, pro 5.0 shifter, and a correct set of pedals. All in I'd say with the upgrades and all, about 2500. But thats for all performance stuff. No stock crap except the pedals and crossmember. As far as selling the other stuff, you might as well give it away. I started my a4 at 700. NO bites. Went down to 500. NO bites. Went down again to 350. NO bites. I'm about to give it away just to get it out of my way. The pedals and stuff are pretty useless too. I'm giving the guy I'm buying the trans from my auto pedals. But I still have a shifter, shift plate, torque converter, flex plate. Everything. Good luck selling it.

It cost me right around $1500 to swap mine over to a T56. This was with the stock clutch, shifter and everything.

$1823.69.

Transmission, centerforce clutch+fw, pedals, console, master cylinder, slave cylinder, shifter, crossmember and other misc hard parts from a member on here for $1800.

~24 bucks for a pilot bushing and some transmission fluid.
