3 and 4th gear grinding Hey guys im new to this whole thing but i figure i'll get it a shot. I drive a 2002 z28 camaro (6 speed). My transmission wont go into 3rd or 4th gear and makes a horrifying grinding noise when you try to do so. I was told that is prob synchro's but i figured i'd get a few other inputs on it. what do ya'll think?

Rebuild time
on these tranmission expectly on 00 up t56, they come with " not great " tranmission, and when ever 3-4 gear hard to get in, or grind, its time for rebuild. Some of the sponsor here will chim in, they are all good.

Yeah sure sounds like a rebuild time. I"m sure you have bad synchros or gears themselves, bent shift fork, pads...etc. I would have a steel 3-4 shift fork installed with some upgraded bronze pads while you have it apart. It isn't that much more and should help it last longer.
