LT1 t56 clutch hydraulics troubleshooting help?
Hi guys,
I was wondering if anyone out there can assist me in getting my clutch hydraulics working properly for my lt1/t56 conversion project.
I am converting a Jaguar XJ6 to a manual. The clutch master cylinder is 3/4, with about 1 inch of useable throw. This translates to about .44cu3 of displaced fluid. I am using the early type T56, with the external slave. I purchased a 92 camaro slave because it has a bleeder attached (the stock slave did not). The slave has a 1" bore.
I am not sure how much fluid I will need to displace to make the clutch fully disengage. My t56 came off a 93 camaro z28 -- The master on that car i THINK was 3/4 as well, but i feel like it had a longer useable throw, so more fluid could be displaced.
If that is the case, will i need to upgrade to the larger 7/8 master cylinder to properly disengage the clutch?
Any help would be good!
thanks
