T-56 oil?
hi
by mistake i fill my t-56 with 80/90w oil , now i'm thinking to drain all the oil
and refill again with new ATF III oil , are there any problem with this ?
or the trans will start wine ?

As long as you didn't run it with the gear oil, it should flush out. If you ran it, the carbon friction rings will absorb the gear oil and you'll never get it out and have to replace all the friction rings.. I had a Dodge Ram SRT10 T56 that came through with that exact situation..

For reference, I found the old article that explains modern synchros VERY well.. It also talks about the problems with gear oil in modern friction rings...
