Need a new clutch for 525+ rw
My Spec 3 is slipping on the dyno right now and I'm fuming. Its got less than 1k miles on it.. Gonna call the sponsor I bought it from and see if they'll do anything for me, but something tells me they'll say I'm s**t outta luck.
I'm selling my car so I'm not trying to put something expensive in it. However, that being said, I don't wanna put a piece of crap in. What sponsor has the best price on clutches? I really need to get this resolved tomorrow, so any help would be appreciated.

Monster seems to be the popular choice, however for someone who is selling the car soon, it might be too much of an investment. If the flywheel is still good, you could look at the TDP basic clutch kit stage 2, rated at 600 hp. they seem to get alot of good press reviews as well and its about $400

GoFast...Why don't you give me a call and I will be happy to speak with you about this. Of course, it is probably just easier to assume the worst and post on a forum as though it has already occured! LOL...
Let me know when and where the parts were purchased so I can best assist you. Thanks!

Sorry, I'm not bashing Spec, and I'm not bashing the sponsor who sold it to me. My previous experience in such things is that the buyer eventually gets shafted. I sincerely hope thats not the case though. I have sent you an email regarding this. Once the clutch is out of the car and you guys see it, hopefully you'll come through for me.
Again, I'm not bashing ANYONE here. But I am understandably upset and out a lot of money and my car is down.

I agree that this should happen, Stage 3 is a very torque capable and robust assembly. That being said there has to be a cause.
GoFast and LS1curt if the pedal is high it could evidence slippage caused by the bearing keeping constant pressure on the diaphragm fingers which in turn would cause the clutch be partially release at all times. Is the pedal high? Is the pedal consistent relative to effort? Are you using the shim provided in the kit?
What are you all making in terms of torque? How many miles are on the parts? What flywheel is being used? Let me know a bit more and we can proceed with further assistance. Thanks,

Ive had problems with the first 2 specs ive had, Then i learned how to shim it the correct way and now i love the spec 3...although i really dont think its going to last for more then the dyno...ill go with a spec 4 next.
But seems like with a spec its all about making sure the slave is putting no pressure on the clutch fingers, and its almost impossable with out a good master cylinder and tons of measurment. Ive also installed 3 other specs my way and all the cars to this day are still clutching good and have a good ammount of use on them...
I also make my own shims too...but i also cut my flywheele
