LOL stock clutch vs cammed LS1.
Alright i took the new cammed car out to the track just wanting to see what would happen and after spinning through 1st and 2nd i hooked 3rd but the clutch went all the way out, reving the car all the way up.
When i saw the revs that high i put in the clutch and coasted the rest of the track. Now after that parked the car and let it cool, it reaked of clutch.
Been driving it since and it hooks 3rd and 4th just fine now but has a unique clicking sound under the car, any ideas?
Ive heard the idea of a cracked flywheel, im hoping this over anything in the engine, car still has ABSOLUTELY NO power loss...

i know i need a new clutch lol, just want to make sure i didnt break anything else.
It only ticks at idle and as soon as i let out in first gear i cant hear it anymore. i havent tried in nuetral but as far as i can tell its only at idle with the clutch in.

Yeah I'd say get a new clutch. I know you wanna see if anyone can tell you if you've broken anything but reality is that you burned your stock one up on that pass and it's toast now!! May do fine daily on the street but not if your hammering it. You will find out if you broke anything when you pull the trans. Get a Spec 3 and you won't have to worry about it! Good luck

Its getting a new clutch for sure, im looking at the monster stage 2 at the moment, just want to make sure i havent dropped a valve or bent a rod or something

Due to trying to cheap out, you may have now opened yourself up to a complete rebuild. Unfortunately it sounds like the stock unit definitly needs to come out, the question is though whether the damage is internal.
Do yourself a favor, stop beating on it, and spend some money to fix it correctly, then go beat the **** out of it.

I already know the stock unit needs to come out.
my question is if it has internal damage wouldnt there be some power loss

Only power "loss" you should see is either like said, a bent push rod. OR if the clutch is so massively dead that its slipping in all gears which is uncommon. Generally I've seen clutches either slip in the first couple of gears and be fine later on or they slip in 5/6th gears.
If you drop a valve, YOU would know it, as well as a rod. A push rod though is designed to be a weak link, especially if its all stock still.
Pull the valve covers and pull each rod, roll them on a DEAD flat surface.
