Need a new clutch to replace a Cartek clutch.
Hi guys,
I have my car all torn apart swapping in a built LS3 in and when I took my clutch off I noticed it might be time to change it since the tranny is out of the car and it's a piece of cake to swap now than later.
Car is a 2001 Camaro SS with only 17,000 miles.
I installed the Cartek clutch back in 2004 and put about 10,000 miles on it and loved it, it never slipped. I have an adjustable master already from Cartek.
What would be equal to it now days at a affordable price?
Car weight is around 3550lbs or so without a driver.
I probably will be making around 490-500 RWHP and I might spray a 75 shot down the road.
What comes in the new Camaro's? LS7? I read mixed results about the LS7 though.
I plan on going to the track a few times a year running drag radials.
I need to order one this week, sponsors please respond.
Thanks,
Bill

Check out the diamond clutches. I have a stage 3 diamond cluch and love it, it's rated at 700wrhp. My buddy just ordered a stage 2, we will be installing it this week it's rated at 600wrhp I think and retains the a stock pedal feel. Plus you get a 12 month warranty on the clutch and the customer service is top notch!!!

Let me know what kind of usage your car sees and I will be happy to provide a recommendation. Your power levels would allow for a Stage 2 all day long but if you are really aggressive with usage or if you track the car regularly then I would suggest our SPEC Stage 2+ or even a Stage 3. Let me know if you have any further questions. Thanks,
