I will buy a t56 magnum from American Powertrain for my project that will be used allround = street, track, drag and just play with.

But I donīt realy know what of the ratios that would be best for me of this 2.

First one is this.
1 2.66
2 1.78
3 1.30
4 1.00
5 0.80
6 0.64

The second one is.
1 2.97
2 2.10
3 1.46
4 1.00
5 0.76
6 0.50

Please need som advice.

Well, if you were going to keep it NA, I would recommend the wide ratio. Since you are planning a turbo in the future, the close ratio will work better. With that much power, 2.97 1st gear, and a 4.10 rear, the wide ratio will be useless.

Yea like Andrew said, the 2.66 ratio will be a lot better for your needs. The 2.97 ratio will be more apt to spin the tires and not load the turbo as well.

So with the 2.66 1st gear ratio, are you stuck with the 0.80 and 0.64 5th and 6th ratios? I've half considered stepping up to a Magnum, but if I have to alter the 5th and 6th ratios to retain the same 1-4 ratios I have in my T-56, that would make the deal a little less exciting.

No, with the 2.66 trans you can opt for the .74/.50 gearset. If you choose the 2.97 trans you are stuck with the .74/.50.
