It's my friends car, he had wheel hope and broke a differential shaft and the main tranny shaft is hurt. He want to upgrade to stranger parts, and thinking of changing to the C6 tranny/rearend and rear frame.
What year and model to look for? and is there any difference in the manuals between C6 and C6Z?

Try to get the larger 30 spline mainshaft and matching diff.
I'm not sure what year C6 got the 27 spline still.

Yes but which year and model came with the 30 spline? And is there any benefit the C6Z has over the regular C6?

one piece countershaft & 30 spline mainshaft in 06-07 Z06 were upgrades over the base model.
