Has anyone ever seen this happen within less then 1000 miles? I know Ive never had one do this with all the swaps Ive done in the past 13 years. These parts are out of a c5 zo6 with really low miles on it. this car is a buddies of mine buddy who had it at a local shop it pittsburgh that I will not name. I really cant believe people do **** like this and dont want to stand behind there work. My question is do u think I should replace the front shaft on the torgue tube?

Wow! It is very possible that they could have damaged the pilot bearing while reinstalling the torque tube assembly. If they bashed the input shaft into the bearing while installing it, it is very possible to see a failure like that in a short period of time.

As for changing the input shaft. They are very hard to find. If it isn't damaged that bad I would polish it up and roll with it.

I need to figure out how to get this checked because I dont want to have to tear it apart again and start over.
