rebuilt stage 2 t56 ??? Well i just recieved my stage 2 t56 back from the builder. Well i put the shifter on it to go through the gears before installing it back into the car. the problem im having is it only goes into 4th and 6th wont even let me over to get into 1,2,3,5. Do i need to have fluid and have it running to engage the other gears. I have a hurst shifer on it and its seems its blocking me from going into the oter gears. Is this noirmal since the tranny is driy and hasnt been run yet or do i need to send it back and have fixed again.
Any info would be greatly helpful

Some times things get a little sticky if there isn't fluid in them for a long period of time. I've run into this many times before shipping unit to people in the past. The very first thing I tell them is to pour a quart of ATF in it. Stand it up on the input shaft shaft and then kind of rotate it in several directions to get fluid every where. After that, play with the shifter and see if it loosens up.
