Default should i avoid buying a used twin disk.....but they are so cheap?

im in the market for aclutch......car is just bolt ons now, but hopefully in the future she will have a some spray and making 6-700 rwhp.....so im planning ahead.....decided i want to try a twin disk out over a monster, but a good twin disk is like 12-1300.......ive seen some barely used twins for sale for like the price of an ls7 kit.......should a stay away from buying a used kit? even if it only seen a few miles? anything i should look for? liek discolorations on the pressure plate and flywheel?

I bought a used McLeod street twin, it was junk when i got it. But.. McLeod rebuilds their stuff so i just sent it to them. $400 for a rebuild and i had a brand new clutch!
