Default Best lt1 t56 clutch???

I'm about to replace the clutch in my 92 formula, going to push 550hp, with 411 and spooled nine inch. So far I've used a ram clutch and didn't know about the pressure plate clutch disc loop hole. Just looking for any info with out spending a ton on a clutch. I'm thinking a lt4 pressure plate, and a 600 series McLeod disc? Thanks in advance!

PUT A McLeod twin in and forget about it! yes i am partial, but that is only because i have had a Chit ton of success, and they hold the power without issue!

any LT1 clutch kit has the "LT4" PP. I have not seen any replacement kit still using the "LT1" PP

The "best" clutch would be a twin disc for the kind of power you make. A more aggressive single disc type will work in the short term. It won't last and will give up some street maners.

basically comes down to you get what you pay for...

I have a ram power grip hd on mine. Its a daily driver and has about 25k on it. Its has a little chatter but nothing you can't live with. I just recently pulled it out (because of an unrealted problem) and its still got alot of life left.

it's a good clutch, I have one 2+...with that said I should have done a twin and I don't make the power you do. It will slip slightly on power shifts on a car with about 400 rwhp

I called comp today they recommended a stage 5. I'm thinking I'm going to get their clutch.
