Trouble shifting into reverse?

So it started about a month ago, running bone stock t56 it's just gotten hard to shift into reverse, no problems with any other gears, changed the fluids and bled the clutch, I use two hands to push it into gear, once it's in it's fine, some friends think the lockout solenoid took a shit, anyone have any other ideas?

Yes, that is the symptom of being "locked out" of reverse. There are a couple other things on that circuit (O2 sensor for one) so if nothing else is wrong it may be the solenoid.

That makes sense, still throwing an 02 sensor code my friend told me to get a diff type of 02 sensor for upstream I dunno I forgot the part number I'll look into it when I get home

I'm having a similar issue, and it's weird that you bring up the o2 sensor. Tonight I tried backing the car out of the garage, and it was really tough trying to push it over from the 5th-6th gear spot over to the reverse spot. Last week my O2 extension had drooped down and got chewed up and I had to cut and resplice the wires together. I checked tonight the reverse lockout and it seemed fine.

I actually hooked up HPtuners and was able to manually activate the lockout, which worked, but when I turned it off, instead of going into reverse easily, it was tough pushing it over.

I wonder if I have isses resulting from the O2 sensor wires fraying.

Figured it out. Engine sensor fuse was blown.
