Their rebuild kit is the same quality as everyone else's. We all use Tremec parts. As for the 2nd gear, yes if you need a Viper main shaft, you definitely need the later style 2nd gear if your transmission doesn't already have it.

I believe 01-02 cars already had the viper second gear. Tick's website has an option guide that explains exactly what each option is and if youre car will need it.
