Default Calling all clutch guru's !!! McLeod rst twin help!!

My car has a McLeod rst twin disc and it has been in the car approx. 1500-2000 miles.i recently noticed the clutch was starting to slip under hard acceleration. So I pulled the trans.tonight to check the freeplay and A B clearances. So turns out A is 2.010 and B is 2.075 . with no shims!!! From what I understand A should be greater by .125 What do I do ?

Since you have a McLeod clutch the first thing I would do is contact Mcleod. I am sure that they can assist you with technical information relative to their parts.

I would also suggest that you make sure that the bearing was fully compressed (spring removed and bleeder open to release any excess hydraulic pressure). If this was not done it will impact your measurements. Keep us posted and let me know if you have any further questions. Thanks!

Good deal! Improper spacing can make a huge impact on clutch function, life and performance...its possible that its been detrimental to the clutch but checking the disc thickness and other measurements will let you know for sure. Let me know if you have any further questions. And if you decide that you need something else I would be happy to assist you with one of our kits. Thanks!
