Seems pretty simple have a piece of round bar tig welded to a Hurst handle.

Bumping this dinosaur.

Has anyone done the Hurst stick with an MGW shifter?

Did a little digging into this today. It'll have to be custom fabbed like the linked Mustang guy did. I've had the UMI short stick that's cut at an angle to bring the knob closer towards the driver and really liked it, so I'll have the Hurst stick welded to have a similar angle bringing the knob closer to the driver.

The Hurst stick you want is part number 538-7201. It's threaded for a 3/8"-16 knobs, so it won't fit regular F-body knobs. Many knobs including the classic style Hurst knobs are available with this thread pattern. Don't forget the retainer for the shift boot. It's Hurst p/n 1140015.

I'd also use Second Skin Audio Luxury Liner Pro (http://store.secondskinaudio.com/luxury-liner-pro/) around the shifter as recommended by 99Bluz28 in this thread to reduce NVH levels: https://ls1tech.com/forums/manual-tr...ts-so-far.html.

In the end, the goal is to have the old school look with the 1.75" Hurst cue ball knob (163-0081 or 163-0040) with the appropriate stick on the best shifter (MGW).

To make life easier for anyone looking to do this now, this listing has all the Hurst parts you need. Then you just need the MGW shifter and to modify the Hurst stick.
