Default How can i tell if i have a factory Hurst shifter?

Bought a T56 and was told that the shifter was a factory Hurst unit. It has the H on the **** and looks much beefier than the stick style piece. The base is solid and it has a chrome stick bolted to it. There are no easily visible markings or stampings.

Here's a pic of my factory Hurst setup before I sold it:

I've never had a LS1 car with the Tremec shifter so I have no idea what it looks like compared to the Hurst option. However, I believe the Hurst always has a gold colored base.
