Default master cylinder disconnect plastic ring broken....

So I just had a clutch and slave cylinder put in my car and I still have the clutch sticking to the floor problem so I was trying to install and drill mod a new mastercylinder but the plastic circle piece that you push in to disconnect from the tranny was sitting on the line and it is broken so I can not get it to slide in...is there any other ways to get this damn thing disconnected

Ouch!..I had to cut the line cause mine was messed up.. O'Reillys sells the master with the line for 67$...that's if you went with a stock one.

I think you found your problem, the slave is bad not the master

15728041 (GM P/N)

Just bought three off ebay for $9.

Does your slave have the chrome ring inside that holds it on or the clip you can get too from the outside that holds it in two places?

I would suggest replacing it with a master better than stock replacement, like the tick performance one. It'll be a pain to get in and will take some getting used to, but it will be the last master cylinder you ever need.

It comes already drill-modded, and it'll come with a new plastic ring clip

You won't be the first to have to replace the entire clutch AND hydraulics to get the clutch right. More common than not on F-bodies.

I already have a new stock master so gonna drill it and throw it on. Called the dealership and will have a new ring for me Monday so that should solve the problem. The one I tried with is pretty chewed up

If you've already got it might as well. Good luck
