Question Is my trans wasted or what?

Went to the track tonight and ran 5 passes no problems. On the 6th pass it was fine until I was on my way to the time box. Driving along hit fourth and tired to down shift. Nothing happened and shifter would not come out of fourth ans if it did it owuld only go like 1/2 in. and would make a horrible grinding noise. would put back in and keep driving. Got back to the pits and shut off. Tried to removed from fourth and it came out with no problem. Somebody help this is driving me nuts. It has the updated slave cylinder. Dont know about internally. Is it time for a second rebuild? Thanks for the help.

sounds to me like the clutch wasn't fully disengaging, probably just from heating it up at the track. Start to worry if it occurs more.
