Thumbs up CobraBob's Shifter Gaskets!!

Buddy of mine used to be an F-body guy but recently purchased an 03 Cobra. He was in the market for a new shifter and asked if I had heard of Cobrabob gaskets. Apparently these shifter gaskets are all the rave over on the Mustang forums. He convinced me to spend the $15 on a set and WOW. The difference is amazing. When I was installing it, I thought it was kind of a joke how thin the rubber is and how it wants to squish out from under the shifter base. I had to tighten the stick down so much that it nearly compressed the gasket right out. On the first test drive, all my doubts were quickly put to rest. I could immediately tell a difference and on the highway, I can say the noise is reduced 75%. I am using the Pro 5.0 shifter. Must get a set!

Just to let you know, we aren't supposed to post non sponsor links to products on here. A mod will probably remove the link if you don't. But, it's good information and sounds like something that a lot of us over here would be interested in.

You're probably right. I deleted the link.

Yup, my buddy pointed those out years ago to me. I need a new set, but they definitely made a difference.

I'll leave it to the discretion of this sections moderator but usually if it isnt something offered by a current vendor its not too big of a deal. As long as its not pushed religiously.

For the record, I had one in my cobra and it was great. I had clutch issues and had to pull the shifter like 3 times within two weeks so it made the process that much more painless. No more RTV.....
