Default Won't go into gear

2000 Z28. Drove around for about an hour the other day. Came to a stop before turning into a business and then I could not get the car to go into gear. Tried to push the shifter into first and it felt like pushing against a brick wall. Did it in most gears. Been a few days since then and it has felt pretty normal. This morning it started doing it again. Most times I was able to select 2nd instead of first but with more effort than usual. Any idea what might be up? Car has 88K miles and has had trans fluid changed about 10K miles ago. Any help would be awesome. Thanks.

Check your clutch fluid reservoir to make sure you aren't losing fluid. Is it all black and nasty?

Syringe it all out of the reservoir, & replace with new, do not touch the clutch while this is being done. Then thoroughly bleed the system.

If replacing all the fluid and a a good bleeding doesn't do it go ahead and bet you have a slave cylinder going bad.
