Default 4th gear t56 gone?

recently(about 4days ago) under WOT my t56 4th gear felt like it broke as soon as engaging it. But it didn't? It just felt like the shifter traveled unusually farther back. Almost as if I totaly eviscerated the synchro and shift fork pads or blockers. But the odd this is that it still works. Dosent grind at all. With the car on sometimes I can get it to travel all the way back to where ithe shifter contacts with the center console lid? What did I do? And does this mean a rebuild is on its way? I just rebuilt it about 5,000 miles ago.

Is it only in 4th? It sounds like the shifter cup may have broken under the shifter. The 3-4 fork actuates 3rd and 4th gear so 3rd should be experiencing the same problem as 4th. The pads would def cause popping out of gear and or grinding.

4th gear is also the input so if you actually hurt the gear you would hear it all the time in every gear.

Actually on the highway I noticed that 6th does the same thing.? No grinding and I get no gears popping out. Just a loose feeling. Only 4th and now 6th. 1,2,3,5 feel perfectly normal.
