Does anybody know what the orange wire with the two white wires is for? I'm in the middle of a A4 to M6 swap and this was part of the hack job wiring the previous owner did for a remote starter. It was spliced into some wires for the remote starter and not the factory harness from what I can tell. Makes me think it's just part of that kit, especially since I've never seen wires like this on the car.




While we're at, how about this purple/white and white/black combo? I've got connectors for everything else but this one. Boy do I feel like a dumbass for not marking these when I took it apart.

I believe the wires in the orange loom go up to the resistor in the key for your vats. I am clueless about the other.

Thanks I think you're right. I went back through the rats nest and found the other end of that connector, looks like it goes to the orange/white wires. Gotta love who ever wired this mess up.
