I need help finding out what is the difference in length between a Pontiac G8 TR6060 bellhousing and a LS1 FBODY T56 bellhousing I was told the T56 housing is taller, I would like to know how much taller, the reason I'm asking is because I've got a Trans Am with a G8 08 G8 TR6060 coupled to a FBody bellhousing and I have clutch disengagment issues it grinds in reverse I got a new LS7 clutch, a ZO6 tall slave cylinder and it still grinds in reverse, I spoke to Jeremy at RPM transmissions and he said the FBody bellhousing is taller then the G8 bellhousing which is placing the throwout bearing far away from the pressure plate fingers, Since the FBody bellhousing is taller I need the difference in length between the two, your input would be greatly appreciated.

G8 is 7mm deeper. This puts the input too far into the pilot bearing and could be dragging in your app., creating symptoms very like poor clutch release.

So Mathew are you saying that the G8 housing is 7mm shorter then the T56 bellhousing?

I am saying the opposite.
140mm GTO / F-body is what you have, 7mm shorter than the G8.

The two apps. use different pilot bearings, as well as different input shaft lengths as well.
