T56 conversion rebuild question.
 

I am currently sourcing parts to convert a lt1 t56 to a LS style t56. I bought the transmission being told it has 80k on it (so he says). This will be my first time doing major transmission work, but I am very mechanically inclined.

While I have it pulled apart are there certain things I should look for? Parts I should replace while I'm there? Not looking to completely rebuild it but preventative maintenance would be smart.

Post pics of what you have when it is apart.

The 5-6 cluster gear and mainshaft are a future problem on basically any of them.

Am I just looking for worn gears and play on the shaft?
