Default trans issues after LS swap. clutch not disengaging

i did a LS swap into my '94 firebird and i'm having some issues with the clutch not disengaging. it's a LT1 T56 that's converted to a LS1 T56 (front plate, bell housing, input, race, bearing), it's got a brand new OEM slave and master, TICK bleeder, McLeod Clutch Line.

it goes into all the gears but it's very hard, you almost have to slam it into place. The clutch pedal sits lower than the gas and brake peddles.

do i need LS1 peddles? we're almost positive there is no air in it, we've done millions of pump pump hold bleeds, used a mity vac, and used a nematic brake bleeder on it.

could the master cylinder not be strong enough to disengage the Centerforce clutch?

This is very likely the issue. You can read all kinds of posts about the stock F-body master being unable to even move an LS7 clutch consistently.

Did you measure the distance from the clutch fingers to the throw-out bearing? You may need a shim. https://ls1tech.com/forums/manual-tr...need-shim.html

i did not measure it, this clutch came out of a camaro my friend bought, and din't like how stiff it was so he replaced it. i assumed since it all worked in his car it should all work in mine as well.

i ordered a TICK MC yesterday so hopefully that works.

And... TICK MC FTW!!

One of the single best upgrades you can do to an F-body.
