Default Need help... newly rebuilt clutch slipping in all gears

I sent my Street Twin clutch to Mcleode to be rebuilt a few years ago, and today was the first time that I was able to get the car running. When I drove, the clutch is not fully engaging (pressure plate grabbing clutch disks). It disengages (pressure plate releasing clutch disks) just fine, but it is slipping a lot in every gear. For example, I was in 6th gear at 4000 RPMs, and going 20MPH. At that point, I smelled the clutch slipping. Any ideas on what the cause could be?

Here are pics.... If anyone sees anything wrong, please tell me. At this point, I think the slave cylinder needs to be replaced...

Default Pics of the clutch coming out

Here are pics of the clutch as it came out... does anything look like it is missing, or anything else that would lead to massive slippage?

Unless the slave is being physically held open, or somehow hydraulically held open, cant see it being the problem.

When you fitted the box, did the box slip onto the bellhousing no problem, or did you need to force it on using the bolts ?

Could you drill a small hole in the bellhousing and get a small camera in there ?

Plenty of small USB Borescope type cameras on egay, which would at least let you see if the slave is pushing against the fingers

I don't remember since the trans was bolted on over a year ago. I did buy a new slave cylinder because the old one looked like crap. I wanted to get pics of the clutch incase something stood out. At this point, I think the problem has to be the slave cylinder.

Possibly the slave was over shimmed, so fully retracted is still partially disengaged.

I don't think there were any shims on it, but I have a new slave cylinder, so it will be installed with no shims.

Yep looks like it's not disengaged completely. Burn spots and engagement points show that.

but what would cause that besides something with the slave cylinder?

Did you have any pedal free play at all, or was it engaging right at the top of stroke? No free play (taking up the gap between slave and PP) would help further indicate the slave. That McLeod street twin is a good clutch, and it should have no difficulty compressing the slave, unless it was internally bound up or something was taking up space where it shouldn't have been

When you put the new one in, make sure you do the measurements like you would for a shim. If you end up measuring like you need to remove a shim, that might tell you that some gunk got behind the slave and is acting like a shim or some gunk got between the PP and flywheel at the bolt holes, so the PP is "shimmed out" a bit.
