Textralia 0z700 installation help......
I bought my car with the 0z700 already installed.I removed my trans to replace my slave cylinder, and found a loose pressure plate bolt (ARP), I removed each bolt one at a time to put red loctite and found a thin washer in between the flywheel and pressure plate. I have done many clutch jobs but have never seen this before. Does anyone know if or why they would be there? Does anyone have the installation guide from Textralia? I already sent them an email but no response yet. Anyone install theirs? Thanks in advance.

If you Google it, the instructions are posted on some GTO site. There are also some pictures on this site and none show a washer.
Sounds like maybe somebody ground the flywheel too much if they did not use a new one?

As above, normally there should be no washers or shims. Maybe someone as used a strange flywheel or something ?
Or maybe they deemed it needed a shim for some strange reason....some people do the strangest things
Is the flywheel face flat ?
Is the clutch in good condition ?

Removed the entire clutch, pp, and flywheel only to find that the damper springs in the clutch came out and wedge it self in the PP.
Needless to say a Monster level 3 is on order.

It doesnt really explain the shims, there still isnt really any solid reason for them to be there.
It's a shame it wouldnt work, the OZ700 is a superb clutch.
